Recipe for hibiscus leaf juice revisited

Yes yes, you read well. A smmothie recipe that includes hibiscus juice is not  usual. But why not ?

Another way to drink the hibiscus juice is me blending effect with other drinks thaht get married well.

Mixed pineapple and watermelon are quite liquid at the end, like hibiscus juice. So why not mix the colors to get married well enough and stay on sweet tropical flavors.

Also, it is a delicious and tasty mixture that will allow  you to have your daily dose of vitamins.

Another way to consume watermelon

Watermelon is one of the most popular fruits of Senegalese. Better known as “xall” in wolof, it is a fruit that floods the roads of the capital in the summer period. When it’s the watermelon season in Sénégal yhere are so many we do not know what to do and thaht’s where i come to our rescue with my bissap juice recipe revisited. A mixture of watermelon bissap (not expensive at all when it is season) and pineable. Only pineable can be relatively expensive depending on where you are. But i think that anyway , making this smoothie will come back cheaper than if you had to buy juice bricksat the supermarket. And it’s also valid for those who live in Europe or elsewhere.

Moreover it is quite light as a drink, and quite fresh, it is homenade so healthy, which means you know what you drink.

The secrets to make this recipe a good watermelon red and naturally sweet bissap well preferably the type of “vimto” if you have the Opportunity to get it is more red and much better than bissap “lambda”.

Good now thaht i have sufficently sold you my new smoothie recipe let’s go for the detail of preparation.

For 2 of watermelon hibiscus  smooyhie pineapple e

 

Ingrédients

40 g of red hibiscus

Sugar ( i put 100 g but you can sweeten as you feel, or do not put any at all)

2 sachets of vanilla sugar

1 tablespoon orange Blossom

A few of pineapple in pieces

1 watermelon of medium size

 

For the dressage

A tablespoon of sugar (for the decoration of the glass)

Ice cubes

Preparation :

Preparation of the juice of bissap

But water in a bowl, dip the leaves of bissap. Rub sllightly let a little rest so that any impurities settle at the bottom. Then recover the leaves and reserve in another bowl.

Heat 1 liter of water in a saucepan and add the bissap leaves to let it boil  for 5 minutes. The water becomes redder and remove the pan from the heat, add the mint leaves and let cool a few minutes.

Once the juice has cooled, filter through a sieve

Add the orange Blossom sugar and the vanilla sugar mix with a spoon then put the bissap juice in a carafe and reserve in a cool place.

Preparing the pineapple

Peel the pineapple using a pitting knife using a pineapple pit or if you have not, cut the pineapple hard center part (the core) using the knife of course you get rid of it cutthen the roughly edible parts.

Preparation of the watermelon

Wash the watermelon and cut in half. Cutt slices and remove the seeds. Cut out each slice according to a grid. To do this, using a knife draw vertical and horizontal lines. Turn the watermelon Under a bowl and drop the watermelon cubes

Preparation of the smoothie :

Blender the pieces of pineapple and watermelons until you have ahomogeneous and smooth liquid add the juice of bissap blender again if th amount is important for the size of your blender which will be aptly case do not hesitate to divide in half the ingrédients for the mixers

Dressing :

Use two glasses bottles, fill each bottle with smoothie and cool for a few hours.

Unless you are super greedy and you can not wait to taste; in which case we will not blame you.

At the moment of serving, proceed as follows :

– In a small bowl, put a few drops of smoothie. Soak the edges of the glass in the bowl and then dip in another bowl containing a little sugar you get the nice effect that you see super appetizing on the pictures.
